Mark Davy - President
Mark Davy has consulted with non-profits for 38 years. He splits his time here in Green Valley
with a home in Minnesota. Mark and his wife, Joan, have been married for 45 years. They have two
children and three grandchildren. Mark serves the Community Foundation because he wanted to be part
of an local community service organization.
Chet Davis - Vice President
Chet Davis and wife Jean searched for the right place to retire. As Chet tells it, Green
Valley came in number one. Chet retired from and aeronautical engineering career where he
worked on programs to build aircraft and space vehicles. He serves on the Community Foundation
Board as a way to help what he describes as
our wonderful community.
Jim Nelson - Treasurer
Jim Nelson came to Green Valley to serve as the Superintendent of Continental Schools.
With a graduate degree from the University of Iowa, Jim has spent his career as an educator.
He and his wife of 43 years, Candy, have two grown children. Giving back to this community
is Jim's reason for serving on the Greater Green Valley Community Foundation Board of Directors.
Marty Taylor - Secretary
Marty Taylor, her husband and 4 children moved to Green Valley 31 years ago from Michigan.
Marty is currently branch manager and loan officer for Washington Federal in Green Valley.
Besides serving on the Community Foundation Board, Marty and 5 other women started a program
to help stuggling seniors have a better holiday season.
Joyce Finkelstein and her husband, Mike, didn't come to Green Valley to retire. They moved here
because of a job Mike has taken in Nogales, Sonora. Married for 43 years, the couple has two children
and three grandchildren. Joyce is active in a number of organizations and serves on the Foundation
Board because it serves the entire Santa Cruz Valley.
A former real estate agent and self-employed bookkeeper, Betty Maly and her husband, Raymond,
retired to Green Valley. They have four daughters. Betty serves on the Board because she believes
in service organizations. The Greater Green Valley Community Foundation is one she is proud to serve.
Originally from Greenwich, CT, Dave Polsky moved to Green Valley and opened his business,
Dave Polsky's Tire and Auto Center in 1999. Dave has been married for 25 years, with 3 children.
His oldest is in medical school and his twins are attending Pima Community College. Also active in
Rotary, Dave serves on the Foundation Board to help support the community that has supported him.
Marcia Salley is active in a number of organizations where she uses her degree in Health
Education to serve the Green Valley community. Marcia has been married for 34 years; has three
children and is the proud grandmother of 7. Macia focuses on fund-raising to help the non-profits
in our area succeed.
Patrick and his wife, Cindy, moved to Green Valley in 2004. Patrick retired from IBM after a 32 year career.
He is currently the Managing Broker and co-owner of HomeSmart Pros Real Estate. Patrick is proud to be on the
Howland Swift attended Cornell University for a BS & MBA at UCLA. He has had three careers,
1st in hotel and food service management, 2nd as a real estate developer and
3rd as college and university fundraiser consultant. He is married with 5 children, six grandchildren
and one great grandchild. Friends brought him to Green Valley last year and he decided to stay.
He is delighted to help GGVCF and the community given his experience as a non-profit fundraiser.
